At 1:30 PM on March 18, with a medical waste transfer vehicle from Nanjing Pukou District entering the factory, it means that six months after the successful completion of the collaborative disposal task of medical waste in July 2021, the battle "epidemic" horn once again blew over Nanjing Excellence. Nanjing Excellence this "old team" is also once again committed to the medical waste disposal battlefield.  

At the early stage of the epidemic, Nanjing Epidemic Prevention Command Center mobilized the city's solid waste disposal company to make preparations for the coordinated disposal of medical waste. Although it did not receive an official notice, Nanjing Excellence immediately responded in advance. Based on the disposal experience of last year, the comprehensive management Department immediately implemented protective materials and isolation dormitories, and arranged property management personnel to strengthen the disinfection work of the whole plant. The warehouse department summarized the production and transfer of medical waste in the two regions, recorded the information of transport vehicles and personnel and established a ledger; The incineration workshop ensures the timely disposal of medical waste in two shifts while ensuring the established production tasks; The power support department is on duty 24 hours a day to ensure the normal operation of machinery and equipment. The whole company will respond to the dispatching and temporary requirements of the epidemic prevention command center in a timely manner. 

When the company was conducting intensive and orderly collaborative disposal, the company received a notice from the epidemic prevention Command center that the medical waste in Gulou and Jianye districts could not be disposed of according to the scheduling plan due to the temporary shutdown of relevant disposal units. After emergency coordination, the company temporarily undertook the task of collaborative disposal of medical waste in Gulou and Jianye districts.  

It is the time to reflect Nanjing's outstanding highlights. Yongyonghui, general manager of Nanjing Excellence, said: After last year's battle against the epidemic, this time he has more experience and confidence to complete the task of collaborative disposal of medical waste. At the moment of the epidemic, it is important to achieve production targets, but it is more important to assume social responsibility. Only after overcoming the difficulties of the current two-front battle of solid waste and medical waste, can we devote ourselves to the next production and operation work.

"With last year's experience, in the face of this medical waste disposal task, the workshop staff are more calm, have taken the initiative to give up rest, stick to their posts, from receiving medical waste to the material pit and then into the rotary kiln incination, orderly disposal work." Production department incineration workshop director Ding Xin said.

On the frontline of the fight against COVID-19, safety comes first. The company requires to resolutely prevent medical waste packaging bag damage, medical waste scattering, leakage and loss in the transport process (outside/inside the plant), ensure that the storage of "new crown" medical waste every day, and strictly eliminate the vehicle and storage and disposal site; First-level protection for on-site staff and outsiders, and whole-body disinfection after the end of work. At the same time, the company coordinates the health Commission to arrange on-site nucleic acid testing for employees who are in contact with medical waste, and vacates the dormitory for placement, so as to achieve closed-loop management. Since the medical waste entered the factory, the company's management team conducted inspection throughout the factory in shifts, found and coordinated to deal with problems in a timely manner.

As of March 23, Nanjing Excellence has collected 80 tons of medical waste and 0 tons of inventory.

In another development, after receiving the call of "Volunteer to fight the epidemic with one heart" launched by the headquarters of Xuelang Environmental Group, the management team and all party members of Nanjing Excellence responded positively and quickly gathered 26 people to participate in the registration.
